[Artist Biography] - Kano Yoshinobu (1552-1640)

A painter of the Kano school who was active from the Momoyama to early Edo periods. He was commonly known as Kyuzaemon and his pen name was Shoan. He lived in Kyoto and together with Kano Naganobu, served as the guardian of Kano Yasunobu when he was a child.
