Hand sewn yogi 夜着 (large kimono-shaped quilt used during the Edo and Meiji era). Kaimaki 掻巻 (sleeved quilt). This yogi is very large, and was likely used by more than one person at a time. The motif is of Aoi or Hollyhock leaves dyed with a stencil resist process called Katazome.
