Japanese boro indigo e-gasuri (double ikat forming a image) two-panel cloth depicting a geometric well crib along with an hishi pattern. Probably once part of a futonji. 

Boro is a Japanese form of recycling coming from an economic necessity in which fabric is patched on the reverse side to preserve the usability.  The beauty comes from the unintentional artistry created from layers of mending.  Wear consistent with age and use.
